![]() Hagströmer Biblioteket's (HB) aim and responsibility is to collect and preserve old and rare books, broad-sides, plates, portraits and manuscripts that are of importance in the history of medicine and allied sciences. HB is situated on the Karolinska Institutet's campus in the former premises of the Nobel Committee for Physiology and Medicine. The HB collections of books and manuscripts are considered rare and do not circulate. Access to the collections are restricted. Arrangements for viewing or examining certain items are allowed by appointment only. Qualified researchers and other visitors are encouraged to contact the HB staff before visiting. Demonstration of the library can be arranged for smaller groups on application. HB provides historical reference service by mail, telephone or e-mail. For additional information contact our staff. Photocopying is permitted for scholarly and noncommercial use only, if the original item allows an easy handling. All copying are made by the HB staff and copies are available for purchase. Photographs of material in the HB collections cannot be published, sold, reproduced or otherwise commercially exploited without permission.
